Welcome to the official website of IUNVA Post 25. Our Post is part of the Irish United Nations Veterans Association, a proud organisation dedicated to supporting and advocating for veterans who have served in United Nations peacekeeping missions around the world.

At Post 25, we are committed to honouring the legacy of service, fostering camaraderie among veterans, and providing a supportive network for all who have worn the blue beret. Through community initiatives, remembrance events, and ongoing advocacy, we aim to ensure the contributions of Irish peacekeepers are recognised and remembered.

Who We Are and What We Stand For

IUNVA Post 25 is proud to be part of a nationwide organisation committed to honouring Irish veterans who served in United Nations peacekeeping missions. Since our establishment, we have provided a welcoming space for veterans to connect, share their stories, and access lasting support.Our mission is clear and heartfelt: to celebrate the dedication and sacrifice of those who wore the blue beret, to nurture camaraderie among veterans, and to create a strong sense of community and belonging.

IUNVA ACTIVITIES

At Post 25, we take pride in being an active part of our community through a wide range of events and initiatives that bring people together and honor our shared experiences. Some of the activities we’re involved in include:

  • St. Patrick’s Day Parades – Celebrating our heritage and community spirit.

  • Flag Day – Honouring our veterans and their contributions.

  • Charity Cycles – Promoting a good cause.

  • Honouring our deceased members.

  • IUNVA Commemoration Ceremonies.

  • Cavalry Corps Commemorations.

  • Remembrance Ceremonies.

  • Participation in Community Events.

  • Organised Talks – Sharing the unique experiences of UN Veterans with the public.

Membership is available to any Irish resident who has successfully completed a tour of duty with a UN Force or Organisation, whether he or she is serving or retired. Application Form VF 1 is available when you select the Join button  or can be obtained from any  IUNVA Post. Completed forms to be returned to the secretary Post 25, all enquiries will be answered ASAP.
